ravenia#4 : 2 separated bathrooms

blogravdes1

In this design, i just tried to memorize my mother-in-law’s suggestion when she visited our house a few weeks ago.

The front room becomes living room.  Noted, eventhough i thought it’s kinda not too usefull since as the new comers in the neighborhood we would not have guest everyday. So, why should we spare special room for living room? but there’s advantage with sparing special room for guest for owner’s privacy :).

The family room becomes bigger since it doesn’t share with another room.

Bedroom room is next to the living room and it is shown on brown area. The previous bathroom is eliminated and regenerated to be 2 separated bathroom. 1 for public and another one for the master bedroom. Bathrooms are shown in grey color.

Bathroom is also as divider for kitchen and service area (dark brown area) on the back yard. There’s little space for little garden for bathroom and kitchen’s air circulation.

teak benches

Alohaa….

See you again. Sorry for not posting a long time. It’s finally because, i agree hubby’s design for room arrangement. While for details, I’m still insisting to take mine too.

Today, I attend a meeting from syariah bank near from my house for bill payment point promotion. After that, I have lunch on a little small resto named “Kedai 2 nyonya” next to that bank. I order Tengkleng. Frankly, i’m not so familiat with this ‘new’ menu, but since my brother-in-law want-to-taste-it-so-badly then I curious about it. And finally, I try it today. Not so bad.

while enjoying the tengkleng, I see the bench on this venue. I’m so interested with the benches. It’s so well-furnished and so simple. I think it’s nice for outdoor usage like in the my future garden.

Then I ask the owner of this resto :

Me : Mam, do you make it by custom or the seller’s already had this design?

owner : No, I dont make it customly, I just said that i wanted multi-function furniture and they gave me this design. And I love it. I can use it for study table for kids once it’s not used anymore. It’s came from Jepara, it’s made from real jati or teak, even it’s not the old teak which is more expensive. This set of table and bench can be bench itself, just fold then the  ‘table’ will be the back rest of the bench.

me : wow… how much for each pair, mam?

owner : it’s about some hundred US dollars and it’s included delivery fee.

me : hm… reasonable and reachable price.

owner : yeah, many people and furniture vendors asked about it also.

me : thanks for information. may i capture them up?

owner : sure, it’s my pleasure.

The owner is so friendly and smiling often. I love the idea of the bench. After paying the lunch bill, i went home.

When my brother in law wants tengkleng badly, now I want that bench badly!

have a nice bench day 😀

Side fence

Aloha,

This is wifey again! The hubby is busy with his office task, therefore for a while, I’ll update this blog for all of our followers 😀

Last night, hubby visited our favorite site, houzz. He searched something which I dont know, since I watched TV. On some pictures he adored, he called me to take a look. And he showed me this picture.

Our house-will-be should be fenced and we agreed. We dont want our plant in the side yard are taken by some goats or something else. Our 1st idea is by siding the outer part of the side yard with 2,5meters height wall. We’re going to make wall for side yard only, since  the front fence should not exceed than 80 cm.

Then, there come the new idea. Wood.

My hubby want the side fence is made from wood as his assumption it’s cheaper than wall. Hm.. actually, I ddint know about the cost comparison.

Then I searched, for wood fence and I find this and this. What??? it’s about 800thousand – 1million rupiahs for per meter square?! It’s too expensive!

Then, I compare between the iron fence and wood fence for their pluses & minuses. Hm… still counting on calculator.

Ahaaa! I have an idea. How if I use the bamboo as the fence material? How smart I am 😀

I can find bamboo everywhere. It’s familiar here. But, then rise another problem.

I’ve browsed the internet, and guess what???

  • No local profesional vendor to install bamboo fence.
  • I’ve just found 1 local preservatived-bamboo vendor.
  • other alternative is importing from China. Ow… my God! *speechless.

So now, i’m re-thinking what material should be appropiate for our side fence…
